I wish that we had thought to do this little sooner... however, at three years old, i'm sure there is still so much we can contribute. There are so many things Kyle does, and so many cute phrases and words he comes out with, that we wanted a place to store it all, so that in times to come, we can relive them when we take a stroll back through memory lane. We hope you enjoy reading them too.....

So proud of our "duckling"!

Kyle has proudly received his first swimming certificate and badge. He goes swimming every wednesday morning, and loves it. It is not only swimming lessons, they also play lots of fun games, have songs and actions, and use lots of props like floats and seal sticks (which they have to go under the water to pick up off the bottom).

Written on this certificate is a summary of the required elements of this award which are:
  • Making a supervised safe entry into the pool
  • Kicking 2 meters whilst floating on back with adult support
  • Floating on the back with floatation support
  • Blow bubbles at the water surface
  • Wet head
  • Travel without assistance 2 metres to a floating object - buoyancy aid may be used.

Ready, Steady...... COOK!!!

Kyle loves to bake - we play a game called Mommy Cook, little cook!! (it's after a programme over here called big cook little cook on the kiddies cartoon channel!!)

This day we made Dalek biscuits... they were awesome and Kyle enjoyed helping to roll out the dough and use the Dalek cookie Cutter to make the shapes...
As you can see, he had fun pushing the rice bits in, and also decorating with the gooey jam type icing at the end....

Not only did they look good, but they tasted yummy too!!!!

Chicken Pops!

For a couple of months now, we've seen the chicken pox warnings at pre-school, and everytime I dropped kyle off, there'd be one or two more cases reported...

Well, now it's Kyle's turn!

His "pops" as he calls them started to appear a couple of days ago, but thankfully, there aren't too many, and they don't seem to be annoying him at all.

He started scratching a big one on his chest and ankle, but we've told him that if he scratches the "pops" a feather will pop out and he'll turn into a chicken!!!!! He laughs hysterically at this thought, but it seems to have done the trick!

so far so good... it's just kyle's social life that has taken a bit of a knock, and very annoying not being able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having!
