HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY KYLE!

After the long count down your birthday finally arrived... and what a birthday you had!! With being away on holiday - you had your birthday in several "stages"....
The first being on your actual birthday... April 21st. We woke up on the boat, and you excitedly unwrapped the few presents we managed to squash into our suitcases...

Then, with your transformers in your hands, it was off on the open top double decker bus to explore Barcelona - our destination for that day. After a long lunch at a tapas pavement cafe, it was time to explore the marketplace. You loved the statues that moved when you dropped a coin in their bucket. The elf in the tree even shook your hand!
We then headed back for the boat, where you had a lovely surprise waiting for you. All the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant gathered round and sang Happy Birthday to you and presented you with a yummy cream birthday cake!!

You took your cake to kiddies club to share with all your friends, who each made you cute little birthday cards, and you were given a special T-shirt!!
And as if that wasn't enough... you still had your big surprise waiting for you when you got home!!

Yes... your own brand new bike!! Just like Daddy's!! along with it, more presents from family and friends that we couldn't take with us!

On Saturday 26th it was your birthday party. You had invited 13 friends, and we headed off the play centre in Fareham. You had wanted the space room, which had been booked in advance, and fitted in nicely with your Transformer party theme!

A few friends who had travelled far, came back to our house afterwards for lunch - and you played pass the parcel and had fun in the garden - hottest day this year so far!!!
After falling into bed exhausted, you awoke to a dustbin bag FULL of pressies from all your friends! Our bedroom looked like Toys R us!
And finally, Tiny Tots (your play group) sang happy birthday to you on Monday, and you shared a power ranger cake with all your tiny tots friends!

You have truly celebrated turning 4 in style....!!! Thank goodness we have a year to recover before the next birthday!!!!

Our Holiday

Here you are at the airport and on board the bus in Mallorca - the start of our very exciting holiday! you were very excited, and as usual an excellent little traveller, in the car on the way to the airport, on the aeroplane and on the coach trip to our boat! it was very exciting boarding the boat, exploring and finding our cabin. You were registered with the kiddy club straight away, and were very keen to be left with your new friends in the evenings to enjoy chocolate extravganza's,face painting, kids Disco's and of course the ships mascot - Palmy. Palmy even had a birthday party!
You enjoyed a visit to the captain, and asked him all about the dolphins - and sang your transformers song on the stage in the talent competition. Every day when we returned from our excursion, you were very excited to see what shape the housekeeper had turned your towel into! it became a bit of a game and we would all guess the animal before returning to the room!
you enjoyed the excursions too, here you are in Pompeii....
and Pisa... where you were very pleased that your theory of the leaning tower NOT being made from Pizza was proved correct!!

You enjoyed sampling the ice-cream at each port... you had a taste of mom's lemon sorbet and that was it... your new favourite!

you had lots of fun spending time with your Gramps, and mom and dad...
But all good things soon come to an end, and before long it was time to head to the airport for our flight back home! But im sure it won't be long before we go back on another trip...

My Baby Brother/Sister!

Today we all went together for the 4D scan. In the waiting room you were as good as gold playing with a trainset they had for you to play with. When the time came for you to come and see the baby, you were quite interested and when you saw the heartbeat you were quite amazed. You then went on to explain to everyone in the room where the ribs were,and the spine... quite the little expert!! You also kept kissing your baby brother/sister through mommy's tummy, which gave me a big lump in my throat....

When we were walking back to the car, I said to you "Wasn't that amazing Kyle??" To which you replied.... "Yes.. the trainset was great!!!"

It's SNOWING!!!!!!

Didn't you just have the best morning?? ..... waking up you were a little confused at first to see snow... you have been taught that this happens in Winter,and we have clarified with the new buds and leaves lately that Winter has gone and Spring is here!
So that took a bit of explaining!!!

However, it didn't take long for you to dress into your warm clothes and get out into it!

You loved throwing snowballs at Daddy who wisely stayed behind the window in the warm!! (cluck cluck cluck....!!)

And while we tried to catch snowflakes in our mouths...
daddy tried to get us with snowballs from behind his window shield!!!
